All of the Gulf Coast states - Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida
All of the Southern Border states - California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas
All of the Pacific Coast states - Washington, Oregon, California
All of the rocky mountain states - Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado
Several of the Great Plains & central U.S. states - Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas
Alas, only one Mid-west state - Indiana; and only one East Coast state - Maryland.
Public transportation is readily available on the East Coast, so I’ve never needed my own transportation (excluding Florida, but most people think of it as the South, not East Coast)
The same is true of my south-of-the-border excursions. It’s always best to let someone else do the driving down there.

41 states, 3 Canadian provinces and Grand Cayman Island - which drives on the left.
The missing states are the Dakotas, Montana, New Mexico and a few in New England.
I’ve traveled a fair amount but seem to never have a reason to drive overseas.

Hard to think about it.... All over Europe except maybe Greece and... a couple other countries...
All over north North America minus northern territories + all the west coast. No southern states.
Japan obviously. Korea too...
and that’s pretty much it. I might forget a few places though.

NC, SC, GA, AL, WV, TN, OH, VA... that’s probably about it. I’ve also driven in the UK all the way from Kent to Northumberland.
I’ve been *in a car* in far more states than that, and South Korea, China...

Dakotas are underrated IMO. Most of the state is pretty boring but the scenery toward the western end can be pretty incredible.
All of Montana has pretty incredible scenery.

Oh, believe me, they’re on my to do list!!!
My brother drove out there last summer (we are in the Chicago area) with his then 9 year old son. They had a fantastic time.
I haven’t visited those 4 western states ever. I’ve been to the New England states, but was a passenger as far as I remember.

I’m not sure of which US states, but most of them. Outside of the US, I’ve driven some in Mexico (Piedras Negras), France, and Germany. The scariest was Piedras Negras. The best place to drive was obviously the Autobahn. I was fortunate enough to be staying south of Frankfurt, where a lot of it is still no limit.

Mine probably isn’t very impressive.. NV, AZ, MI, ND, SD, ID, OR, WA, CA, UT, NM, MN, and BC Canada. But sort of related - in college I had a job with the University of Washington records department and we had to drive their vans all over campus - sidewalks, lawns, docks, up and down stairs, basically anywhere you could take a 1 ton van.

No time right now to figure out all the states.
But I did drive into a mall once. Legitimately. Those entry way doors unlatch from the floor and become big double doors. Then I drove between the shops, into the center of the mall, and the new car was advertised as the prize in some contest.
Yeah. You’re right, it *was* sweet.
